The regional center of Barnaul is a major transport hub, and the new highway will significantly relieve the flow of transit traffic passing through the city, will significantly reduce travel time between federal roads of the Altai Territory, and will also improve transport connections between the regions and create a favorable environment for the socio-economic growth of the region. The new bypass road will contribute to the development of interregional and international transport and economic relations of the Ural, Siberian, Far Eastern federal districts, as well as Russia with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia and China.
